Arsenal Set To Land England Star

Sterling was strongly linked with a player-plus-cash move to the Gunners during the summer transfer window but Pep Guardiola was unwilling to let the 22-year-old leave.

Sterling has made close to 100 appearances for City since joining from Liverpool two years ago and has enjoyed a productive start to the new campaign.
Guardiola believes the attacker can become a hugely important and influential player for his side but Arsene Wenger will still attempt to land Sterling’s signature in the winter.
City are understood to be ready to sign long-term target Alexis Sanchez in January for around £20million but Arsenal will hope to bring Sterling or Monaco’s Thomas Lemar to the club as his replacement.
